The ‘Next Generation CHROs’ programme aims to build leaders who drive business outcomes through HR. Designed by the best-in-class academicians and leading business advisors, the programme (now in its second iteration) aspires to expand the talent pool of CHROs in India.

Anchored to empower Next Generation CHROs, the program focuses on honing leadership skills in a personal, functional and organizational context. As technology accelerates environmental changes, participants start by preparing for future readiness. Next is the focus on developing holistic business understanding and translating it into well-crafted human capital strategies. The last immersion encourages HR leads to drive strategic change and organization effectiveness.

  The programme is structured around 3 modules

Module 1:   Personal Leadership

The environment that businesses operate under are undergoing rapid changes driven by technology, shifting geopolitical power equations and globalization of consumer markets and market for talents. Against this backdrop, how do CHROs make sense of this world and formulate strategies to take the organization forward from the point of HR strategy?

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gauge impact of macro-trends and disruptions on business and HR
  • Analyse interconnected business problems to propose people solutions
  • Align HR service delivery model to further business priorities
  • Understand structural, job content and cultural anchors to drive agility
  • Explore digital transformation and ensure organizational readiness
  • Understand behavioural and functional capabilities of successful CHROs

 

Module 2:  Functional Leadership

The changing business dynamics calls for a fresh new approach to the conduct of the HR function not as an independent function but interconnected with the business strategy. Designed to embed HR leaders in functional understand of Finance, Marketing and Analytics, Module 2 enables future HR leaders to drive sharp human capital strategies for business impact.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Build understanding of financial decision making, and its linkage to HR areas
  • Deploy data-driven mindset to deploy analytics for business results
  • Lead change to achieve a desired outcome, reduce risk and accelerate impact
  • Identify HR risks and liabilities, realize synergies, and develop strategy for integration
  • Relook at HR programs with the lens of Experience, Transparency and Higher Purpose
  • Steer the transformational journey of the HR function with a well-calibrated HR strategy

 

Module 3:  Organisational Leadership

Navigating organizational change, owning succession planning and anchoring the people side of strategy are probably the key aspects of an HR leaders’ mandate. Next Generation CHROs will display organization leadership through governance, executive compensation and employee relationships. And most importantly, they will emerge as authentic, influential organizational leaders.

Programme Directors

Prof Vasanthi Srinivasan 
Faculty of Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources Management,  IIM Bangalore    
                               

Vasanthi Srinivasan is a Professor in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. She was the ICCR Chair Professor of Corporate Responsibility and Governance at the HHL School of Management, Leipzig, Germany in 2012- 2013. Her areas of interest are women in management and Boards, generational diversity, HRM in rapid growth organizations and ethics and HRM in healthcare in India.She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a Fellow in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Prior to joining IIMB, she worked at Wipro Limited and The P&P Group, a Bangalore- based boutique consulting firm. She was a British Council Visiting Scholar at the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Nottingham University Business School. As a HRM faculty, she has been involved in several research and consulting projects with the industry.Prof.Vasanthi is currently on the board of the NHRD Network, Bangalore Chapter; a member of the India Leadership Team of Globethics.net and is also on the Board of Directors of “Enable India”, “Svaraj” and “Fourth Wave Foundation”. She runs a website www,teachcsr.com, which is intended to enable faculty in business schools to mainstream teaching corporate responsibility. She has several Publications in both International and national Journals.

Programme Charges

Programme fee is Rs. 5,25,000 + GST @ 18% per participant which is payable in  instalments as per the schedule indicated below:

Rs. 100,000 + GST On Confirmation
Rs. 2,25,000 + GST On before June 2020
Rs. 2,00,000 + GST On before August 2020 

Programme fee includes the boarding and lodging charges at Bangalore.

Note :

  • The programme fee should be received at the Executive Education Office, before the programme commencement date.
  • In case of withdrawls, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.

Registration(s) Process
This process is divided into 2 stages:

Stage 1: Online Registration(s)

Stage 2: Offline Submission of documents for  completion of registration
Applicant(s) needs to submit the following as part of registration process to the email id: bhaswati.eep@iimb.ac.in  

  • Nomination letter: CEO or CHRO of the sponsor organization should share a nomination letter for the candidates nominated(More than one candidates may be nominated).
     
  • Sponsor organization presents a case for each candidate. This includes experience till date, planned career next steps, immediate challengesand development needs of the candidate.

Note:

  • As a part of the process, there may be telephonic interactions with the candidates before the final selection.
  • Self-nomination by candidate is allowed subject to fulfilling the above criteria.
