The entire network has access to Novell Netware 6.0 (file and print server with a 3rd party P-counter tool for print page accounting) and Microsoft Windows, the world leaders in Network Operating Systems with a graphical access to MS- Exchange email server. The library system (Libsys) loaded on Linux server running and the CD server with full text journal articles in electronic form is also accessible through the net. A Compaq Proliant server powers the SAP applications. Video conferencing facility is also available for the distance learning initiatives. The software environment includes Oracle DBMS, MS Office (Campus Wide License), SPSS, CPLEX Optimization software, Simulation Languages, Rational Development Studio, Visual and Object Oriented Languages like Visual Basic & Visual C+ +, Java, data analysis packages like Views, Matlab etc. The faculty members also have access over the net to TURNITIN Anti Plagiarism tool for scrutinizing / checking students' submissions.
