As EPGP at IIMB celebrates a decade, the institute and the students of the programme felicitate faculty and alumni

23 SEPTEMBER, 2018: In celebration of 10 years of the one-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at IIM Bangalore, the Class of 2019 organised Sparsh 2018 on September 23.

The event began on a traditional note, with Prof. G. Raghuram, Director of IIMB, Prof. Malay Bhattacharya, former  chairperson, EPGP, Komala Devi, former administrator, EPGP, Prabha Ravichandran, administrator – EPGP, and Reema Bose, EPGP alumna, lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Prof. G. Raghuram then welcomed the alumni and the faculty in his opening address, and felicitated the EPGP chairpersons and administrators who have played a huge role in the success of the programme over the past decade.

This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Entrepreneurship – Finding the Right Business Model’, which was moderated by Professor K Kumar, Entrepreneurship area, and Dean, Alumni Relations & Development. The panel featured Abhishek Surendran, Swetang Sharma, Guru Prasad, who shared their experiences in starting their ventures and the challenges that they faced. They also offered some pointers for budding entrepreneurs.

The present batch then expressed their gratitude to the former students for their role in strengthening and propagating the legacy of the EPGP at IIMB.

The second panel discussion on ‘The Evolving Role of Technology in Business’ was moderated by Vivek Srinivasan, Co-Founder – Startup Club, MBA at Ohio University. Alumni Debraj Bannerjee, Vikram Sachdeva, and Dr. Puneet Singh featured in this panel.

The event concluded with games and group activities for the invitees.
