Carnatic vocal concert by S Aishwarya and S Saundarya on Nov 16

13 November, 2018: The IIM Bangalore chapter of SPICMACAY will host a Carnatic vocal music concert this Friday, 16th November 2018, from 6:30 p.m., in the IIMB auditorium. S Aishwarya and S Saundarya, the great grand-daughters of Bharat Ratna recipient, M S Subbulakshmi, will present an evening of music.

S. Aishwarya gave her first public concert on September 16th, 2007 on the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of her great-grandmother, MS Subbulakshmi, where she gave vocal accompaniment to her grandmother Smt. Radha Viswanathan. She has performed over 500 concerts in India and abroad, has given over 60 concerts in the USA, and has performed in more than 10 countries around the world. She is a regular performer at the Madras December Music Season and has performed in all major ‘sabhas’ in Chennai during the December season.

 The vocalists will be accompanied by Vittal Rangan on the violin, Phanindra Bhaskar on the mridangam, and Bhagyalakshmi Krishna on the morsing.
