Programme Overview
‘Growth Programme for Entrepreneurs’ is based on the highly successful 'Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses' (MPEFB) programme that has been offered to 12 batches of Entrepreneurs and Family Business Owners. Starting this academic year, IIMB has redesigned the programme to focus exclusively on the growth needs of Entrepreneurs.
This program is targeted at entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors who have achieved product-market fit and are looking to scale up their venture. The objective of this intensive four-week program spread across three months is to provide systematic inputs on the operating context, organizational design, self-transformation and leadership skills needed to take the venture to the next orbit. The program will include lectures, case discussions, experiential learning, coaching, workshops and interactions with industry captains.

Programme Contents
Each week of the program focuses on a specific objective. Week 1 will focus on the business environment in which the venture operates. Week 2 will focus on the venture itself and how it needs to reorient to achieve scale. Week 3 will focus on transforming the entrepreneur and helping them to become effective leaders. Week 4 will focus on sharpening the growth plans of each participant.
Who should attend?
Founders who have achieved product-market fit i.e., validated a business opportunity, and are looking to scale. The venture revenue should be in the range of INR 2-75 crores. The ventures can hail from any sector; diversity in the classroom adds to the learning experience.

- Have been into operations for atleast 3 years
- A compelling Statement of Purpose
- Telephonic/ In-person interview
- Submission of Venture documents
- Proficiency in English is required

Prof. Suresh Bhagavatula

Entrepreneurship
Professor Bhagavatula’s research interests are in two partly overlapping domains – Entrepreneurship and Social Networks. In Entrepreneurship, his interests are in both low and high technology firms in India. Within the Social Network domain, he is interested in understanding the influence of social capital on performance of entrepreneurs and teams. His research work has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing (JBV), Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (ETP), StrategicEntrepreneurship Journal (SEJ), and IIMB Management Review.He holds a doctoral degree from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and an MS from University of Flensburg, Germany.

Prof. Srivardhini Jha
Faculty
Entrepreneurship
Srivardhini K. Jha is Associate Professor in the Entrepreneurship Area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). Her research interest is in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the emerging country context. Her specific research topics include: Organization and evolution of global R&D in multinational enterprises; Organizing for corporate entrepreneurship; Innovation in Indian startups; Impact of strategy, organizational structures/processes and regulatory environment in scaling up social enterprises; and Hybrid organizing. She has published papers in several peer reviewed international journals such as MIS Quarterly, MIT Sloan Management Review, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences and others. She is a regular presenter at the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, and Strategic Management Society Conferences. She teaches MBA and Ph.D. courses on Entrepreneurship and Technology Partnerships.
She holds a post-doc from the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics, a Ph.D. in Corporate Strategy and Policy from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a BS is Information Science and Engineering from Bangalore University. Prior to entering academia, she has held senior managerial positions at Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and Infosys.
Programme Charges:
Programme fee is 5.65 L + GST @ 18% per participant which is payable in three instalments as per the schedule indicated below:
1,65,000 + GST - Confirmation Fees (Non-refundable)
200,000 + GST- 1st Instalment
200,000 + GST - 2nd Instalment
The tuition fee covers all instruction during the three modules; required books and other pedagogical materials,including self-learning materials; coaching, tutoring and other inter-modular support.
Programme fee does not include accommodation charges. Candidates willing to opt for accommodation will have to pay an additional amount of INR 52,500.00+ GST@18%.
Note :
- The programme fee should be received at the Executive Education Office, before the programme commencement date.
- In case of withdrawls, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.
- If a nomination is not accepted, the fee will be refunded to the person / organization concerned.
Programme Structure
Venture Scaleup programme is a certificate programme of 22 days of duration spread over 3 months(6 April - 1 July 2020).
Programme Schedule
Award of Certificate
A part time programme certificate will be issued to the participants on successful completion of the programme on satisfying the programme requirements.
Alumni
On successful completion of the programme, the participants are eligible to be admitted to IIM Bangalore Alumni Association.
