Programme Overview
The Executive General Management Programme (EGMP) is a part-time certificate programme designed for functional managers aspiring to move into a general management role to develop core business skills and competencies, which would equip them to handle issues involving cross-functional areas.
The EGMP brings together participants from diverse backgrounds, skills and experience, thereby enabling peer learning. The eminent faculty of IIMB handles the curriculum. The EGMP participants involve themselves actively in case studies and discussions, roleplay, games, etc. They benefit immensely through continuous learning and networking with peers from different backgrounds, during and after the programme.

Programme Framework & Contents
Moving from delivering a functional strategy to responsibility for business strategy requires a broad perspective and additional knowledge. The EGMP prepares participants for this challenging transition by focusing on:
Business Environment, Individual and Organizational Competencies, Functional Knowledge (Key Business Areas) and Strategic Perspective.
Business Environment: An understanding of the fast-changing environment and its impact on business is crucial for success. Topics include:

- General Commercial Knowledge
Individual and Organizational Competencies:
Continuous enhancement of individual and organizational competencies and business performance is crucial. Topics
include:
- Organizational Structures and Processes
- Organizational Behaviour and HR
- Business Statistics
- Resource Optimization
- Entrepreneurship
Functional Knowledge: An appreciation of key concepts and activities within the primary management functional areas and interconnection between them is essential to align functional areas with business strategy. Topics include:
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
- Corporate Finance
- Operations Management
- Information Systems Management
- Marketing
Strategic Perspective: This module integrates the functional knowledge gained earlier and allows the managers to take decisions and develop strategies that are appropriate for different environments. Topics include:
- Corporate Strategy & Innovation
- Ethics and Governance
- Business Simulation Game

Programme Charges
The programme fee is Rs. 6,50,000/- + GST (applicable rates) per participant, payable in three installments as per the following schedule:
- Rs. 2,70,000/- + Applicable GST - I installment on admission
- Rs. 1,90,000/- + Applicable GST - II installment, April 24, 2021.
- Rs. 1,90,000/- + Applicable GST - III installment, November 13, 2021.
Please Note: Please add GST at prevailing rates to the programme fee.
All enrollments are subject to review and approval by the programme director. Joining Instructions will be shared with the organization if sponsered or to the participants on selection.
Kindly do not make your travel plans unless you receive the offer letter from IIMB.
Note :
- The programme fee should be received at the Executive Education Office, before the programme commencement date.
- In case of withdrawls, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.
- If a nomination is not accepted, the fee will be refunded to the person / organization concerned
Tentative Programme Schedule
NB: The EGMP is a part-time certificate programme and the course is proposed to be delivered through in-person contact classes held at IIMB Bangalore. However, due to circumstances outside the control of IIMB such as acts of God, war, terrorist attacks, riots, civil disturbance, earthquake, explosion, floods, Government order/intervention, epidemic/pandemic or any other circumstances beyond the control of IIMB, IIMB may change the in-person mode of delivery to online or hybrid modes of delivery. Hybrid delivery implies that a part of the cohort is physically present in the classroom while the remaining students participate in the course virtually. Keeping in mind the circumstances that may prevail from time to time, IIMB reserves the right to modify the in-person mode of delivery to online or hybrid mode of delivery as the need arises.

Alumni
On Successful Completion of the programme, the participants are eligible to receive EEP alumni memebership.
Award of Certificate
A part time programme certificate will be issued to the participants on successful completion of the programme on satisfying the programme requirements.
