Decision Sciences

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) seeks to recruit faculty for the Decision Sciences Area. Candidates with a strong commitment to high quality research and teaching in Statistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a closely related field are invited to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with an expertise in: (i) optimization and its interface with machine learning methods; (ii) statistical methodology and its applications to decision making; and (ii) big data analytics, particularly natural language processing, neural nets, deep learning, etc. Candidates who can showcase their research relevance to an underlying business context would be preferred.

Entrepreneurship

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) invites applications for a faculty position in Entrepreneurship at the NSRCEL.

Appointments at a more senior level (Associate or Full Professor) may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. Management  Communications 

In Management Communication, we examine how communication techniques and technologies shape the organization’s culture and how effective communication can efficiently manage products and services. We are looking for instructors who can readily embrace both communication theory and practice. Over the last four decades, we have trained thousands of participants in the PGP program and executives in the Executive Education Program. They have emerged as leaders, entrepreneurs – leading and managing businesses with confidence and effective communication.

This is a teaching-intensive position. The successful candidate will also work with the Centre for Management Communication to mentor students. Applicants should have professional and academic experience in any of the following areas:

Digital communication strategies and tactics, communication theory, public speaking, communication research, and application.

These figures include indexed transport allowance and housing allowance (if not staying in campus housing) but excludes family medical and leave travel reimbursement. Graded incentives are also available for journal and case publications and for teaching more than the required three courses a year. Fresh PhDs on tenure track receive generous research funding to publish in top journals as well as a reduced teaching load.
