The CDPG team met with Mr. Ramakrishna NK, Ms. Smita Ramakrishna (Co-founders), and Ms. Kavya (Team member) of Rang De on 15th July 2026 India’s pioneering peer-to-peer lending platform focused on providing affordable credit to unbanked communities through social investing. The CDPG and Rang De team discussed the peer-to-peer lending business model, which leverages social investing and community trust to provide easy credit to farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs. The Rang De team elaborated on Swabhiman-its training centre, which specifically works on financial literacy and selection of eligible/suitable borrowers and how it is changing the understanding of and impact on the underserved sections of unbanked India. The CDPG and Rang De team also discussed on how the Rang De infrastructure can be utilized for Digital Public Infrastructure-based projects, and how the concept of ‘Social public infrastructure (SPI)’ is slowly evolving in niche segments like peer-to-peer lending
