CDPG welcomes interns bringing diverse academic backgrounds and a shared interest in digital public goods, climate finance, and policy research. Below is a brief introduction of our interns.
Sunanina V Shyam
Sunanina joined CDPG as an intern and found the experience transformative, shifting her perspective from viewing India’s progress through the private sector alone to understanding the depth of public sector impact. She contributed to the Harvard Business School case study on the Beckn Protocol by developing Python-based automation tools, built a data extraction pipeline covering 208 DPGs globally, conducted qualitative research on cooperative models in India, and supported the State of DPI Report through data collection.
Priyal Jain
Priyal is a BBA-DBE student at IIM Bangalore and a Research Intern at CDPG. Driven by curiosity and a passion for understanding how systems create impact, she has contributed to curating the Centre’s monthly digest, coordinating the production workflow for over 50 knowledge videos, and supporting research and communications across ONCM and other projects. She aims to deepen her understanding of digital public goods and build solutions that create lasting value.
Suraj Belagali
Suraj is a student in IIM Bangalore’s BBA (DBE) programme and works as a Research Intern at CDPG. For him, the Centre is a natural intersection of public policy research and business development, two areas he is keen to build a career in. He has contributed to the ONCM Position Paper Sprint, CDPG’s outreach efforts, and the State of DPI Report 2026. He hopes to pursue an MBA and eventually work in consulting and academia.
Aryan Motebennur
Aryan is a dual-degree BBA- DBE student at IIM Bangalore and TAPMI University and a Researcher at CDPG. He attended the ONCM paper sprint and is currently working on the State of DPI in India report, with a focus on healthcare. He looks forward to applying his research and consulting skills to real-world challenges and is interested in strategy and entrepreneurship.
Nishtha Datta
Nishtha is a first-year student at Emory University, pursuing a double major in Psychology and Business (Finance). At the Centre, she focuses on researching and synthesising reports related to the Open Network for Carbon Markets (ONCM), helping translate complex concepts into accessible outputs. She looks forward to deepening her understanding of carbon markets, climate finance, and building her research and analytical skills through the internship.
