CDPG is the Global Center of Excellence on Digital Public Goods at IIM Bangalore, established in partnership with iSPIRT. The Center serves as a repository of knowledge on digital public goods and supports rigorous research, learning, and policy thought leadership.
Experiments in digital public infrastructure and digital public goods have produced a large amount of data, experience, and insight. Much of this knowledge remains tacit or unevenly documented. CDPG exists to consolidate this learning and make it useful for wider public value.
India’s experience with digital public goods is distinctive because it is built on a strong digital public infrastructure that has enabled rapid innovation and adoption across sectors such as education, finance, healthcare, and commerce.
CDPG’s primary purpose is to convert scattered learning into a structured institutional resource that can be used by researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. In practical terms, the Center aims to become a trusted knowledge repository and authority on digital public goods, undertake rigorous research to evaluate DPG initiatives, and provide thought leadership and practical advice & expertise on deploying DPGs.
CDPG connects India’s experience with digital public goods to research, policy, and implementation learning that can be reused at scale.
