Silver Jubilee Volume

In commemoration of the Silver Jubilee of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, the book ‘Management Perspectives: Essays on Managerial Priorities and Management Education’ edited by Professor N. Balasubramanian was published in the year 1999.

The following is the abstract of the book:

Almost a decade into the post-liberalisation era many issues are still defying satisfactory solution. Is it right to focus reforms only on the corporate and government sectors to the exclusion of others who play a significant role in wealth creation in the country? How do we cope with the problems associated with capital account convertibility? Can power sector reforms be successfully handled in a piece-meal manner? How do we harness IT power to enhance management education? Is the American MBA the ultimate and universally applicable framework for management education?
