Golden Jubilee Interviews

As part of the commemorative events to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Institute in 2023, several stakeholders who had participated in the IIMB journey were interviewed to share their contributions, and memories of their involvement with the institute, as also how they envisaged the road map ahead. These interviews cover a wide selection of people including past and present directors of the institute, board members, faculty, alumni, students, and staff members. We bring you excerpts from the Golden Jubilee interviews which through recountings and  anecdotes throw light on  interesting aspects of the institute’s history. (Bytes from some of these interviews were included in the Golden Jubilee films and publications.)

Note: As with oral history narratives, the interviews reflect the interviewee’s memory and subjective understanding of past events. While the interviewee and interviewer are supported by prompts about events and issues identified through archival research, the interviews neither represent the official position of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore nor are they endorsed by the institute.
