Padmavathi is a researcher and development practitioner with a Master's degree in Development from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications from Mangalore University. Her academic and professional journey is rooted in a deep commitment to working with marginalized communities. Her key interests lie in equitable development, sustainable livelihoods, and the intersection of ecological and social justice. She is currently working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru, under the PHC4UHC project. She has worked briefly as a Project Enumerator in the Western Ghats, focusing on human-wildlife conflict and interned with Jagrutha Mahila Sanghatane, engaging with Dalit women's collectives and contributing to community-based initiatives focused on social justice and empowerment. Outside of work, she has a keen interest in nature and landscape photography and enjoys reading across genres.
