‘Afghanistan Stories’

Have you been fascinated by Hosseini’s depiction of Afghanistan?
Have Hassan and Mariam’s stories touched your soul beyond measure?

Well, here’s your chance to relive the experience at the IIMB Auditorium on 8th November between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Prof. Ganesh Prabhu & the LitClub at IIMB will host Lt. Col. Dr. Arup Ratan Basu who will share ‘AFGHANISTAN STORIES’ – his experience as an Indian Army doctor during his 10-month stay, on deputation, in Kabul, Afghanistan. 

Lt. Col. Dr. Arup Ratan Basu served as a surgeon in Kargil when the 1999 war started and saved many lives. He was decorated with the Yudh Seva Medal (YSM) by the President. Post retirement, he works as a consulting gastroenterology surgeon in his hometown Jamshedpur.
