IIM Bangalore and Indian Finance Association to host the Finance Day on December 18

11 December, 2020, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore, along with the Indian Finance Association (IFA), will host the Finance Day on December 18 (Friday), 2020, from 02.30 pm to 07.00 pm.

The event, after the opening remarks and welcome speeches, will include the keynote speech on ‘Inferences from Big Data’ by Professor Raghavendra Rau, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. This will be followed by a panel discussion on 'Economic recovery post Covid - search for a right alphabet', featuring Tamal Bandopadhyay, Senior Journalist, Satyaki Ghosh, CEO – Domestic Textiles Division, Aditya Birla Group, and Vishal Anand Kanvaty, Chief Market Innovation, NPCI. The discussion will be moderated by Deep Narayan Mukherjee, Associate Director, Risk Management & Advanced Analytics, Boston Consultancy Group. The second half will see the other keynote speaker Professor Robert Webb, McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, delivering a talk on ‘Risk Capital and Risk Appetite’, followed by the closing remarks and Vote of Thanks.

Registrations are free and open till December 13 (Sunday), 2020. Those interested to attend, need to send their name and affiliation to indiafa.org@gmail.com. The registration link will be shared with the registered participants by December 15 (Tuesday), 2020.

The conference will be led by Professsor Ashok Banerjee, President, IFA and Professor Sankarshan Basu, faculty of the Finance & Accounting area of IIM Bangalore and Secretary, IFA.
