Public Policy and Management Programme office hosts talk on ‘Ethics in Public Governance’ on Sep 20

18 September, 2017, Bengaluru: A special talk on ‘Ethics in Public Governance’ has been organized by IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management (PGPPM), on September 20 (Wednesday), 2017, from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, in Classroom C-23, as part of PGPPM’s event ‘Policy Speaks’, a Public Policy talk series. The talk will be delivered by Sudhansu Mohanty.

As a former bureaucrat, Sudhansu Mohanty has worked as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Moreover, he has served as Secretary to the Government of India, first as Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), and then as Financial Adviser, Defence Services (FADS) in the Ministry of Defence, before retiring on May 31, 2016. He holds a Master’s degree in History from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and an MBA from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

A prolific writer, he has authored four books: Babudom: Catacombs of Indian Bureaucrats, Babulog: Vignettes of Indian Bureaucracy, Babuspeak and Other Stories, and Anatomy of a Tumour: A Patient's Intimate Dialogue with the Scourge - an account of his battle with cancer. Sudhansu Mohanty regularly updates his writings on his blog (https://babupaedia.blogspot.in/). He also publishes regularly in the mainstream media.
