Free prosthetic limb camp on 18th February: A joint initiative by IIM Bangalore EPGP’s social responsibility wing Prayaas and Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti

Camp to consist of above-knee prosthetics, callipers and below-knee prosthetics; event is organized for first 50 registered candidates 

5 February, 2024, Bengaluru: Prayaas, the social responsibility initiative of the students of IIM Bangalore’s one-year, full-time MBA for working professionals, the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), along with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot), will conduct a free prosthetic limb camp from 9 am on 18th February 2024, at the IIM Bangalore campus, Bannerghatta Road. 

The free prosthetic limb camp will consist of three types of prosthetic limb fitments – above-knee prosthetics, callipers and below-knee prosthetics. The event is organized for the first 50 registered candidates.  

Eligibility criteria: Government-approved ID proof is mandatory, with preference on Aadhaar Card. The event is intended for people who cannot afford a prosthetic limb. Free custom prosthetics will be provided. The cost of the prosthetics will be completely borne by Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot). Both screening and fitment will be done on the same day of visit. As travel assistance, reimbursement for local transportation costs (at a nominal rate) will be made available for the first 50 registrations.
