The JJM IIM-B research cell conducts comprehensive empirical and applied research within the rural drinking water and sanitation domain. The research team analyses the sustainability of rural water supply systems and evaluates the impact and efficacy of the Jal Jeevan Mission through field visits, making use of national reports and dashboards. The team also delves into the economic aspects of water technology and utility and has organised various capacity-building workshops and seminar series on sustainable water management. The insights gleaned from both ethnographic and investigative research endeavours have been disseminated through technical notes, working papers, and policy dialogues.
