25 May, 2023, Bengaluru: The Centre for Software and Information Technology Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore, in association with the Wadhwani Institute of Technology and Policy (WITP), will conduct a webinar titled, ‘Generative AI for digital transformation in the government’, on 1st June 2023 (Thursday), from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The webinar will be led by Eshwar Belani, Entrepreneurial Executive. This would be the seventh webinar of the Masterclass webinar series titled: ‘Being Future Ready’.
About the talk: During the session, Eshwar Belani will talk about Generative Artificial Intelligence including ChatGPT. ChatGPT has been making waves since the time it was launched in November 2022. Billions of bytes have been written on its capabilities and hundreds of innovative applications are being developed weekly. Solutions have been rolled out using its ability to generate new and creative content like videos, songs and paintings to understand our language and talk back to us as conversational chatbots, to create new designs and prototypes, to run repetitive tasks with intelligence enabling employees to focus on more strategic and creative work, to work like a research and personal assistant, etc. Government officers, academics and other professionals will gain valuable insights into the world of generative AI and its practical applications in governance. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Eshwar Belani is a pioneer in the AI and technology space. He has a proven track record in transforming innovative ideas into ground-breaking products and services, fueling exponential growth and reshaping the business landscape. Eshwar is currently a founding Partner at SAIGroup. Prior to SAIGroup, he held pivotal roles in several successful ventures. At Rubrik, he was instrumental in launching an innovative suite of IT infrastructure products. As a founding executive at Rocket Fuel, his contributions were instrumental in the company's meteoric rise from a start-up to earning over $400 million in annual revenue. Eshwar founded Sensact Applications, focusing on IoT solutions, and iLeverage, which was acquired by Epiphany. Eshwar serves as an advisor to emerging companies nurtured by Singularity University and Alchemist Accelerator. He is also a Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley. His academic accomplishments include a B Tech from IIT Madras, MS in Computer Science and Management of Technology degrees from U.C. Berkeley. He has authored several academic publications and holds six patents.
