Centre for Public Policy to host talk on ‘Cooperation in a company: Did pandemic-induced home office change how people cooperate?’ on 26th September

The talk will be led by Prof. Christiane Schwieren, Alfred-Weber-Institute for Wirtschaftswissenschaften

20 September, 2023, Bengaluru: The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at IIM Bangalore will host a talk on, ‘Cooperation in a company: Did pandemic-induced home office change how people cooperate?’, from 11.45 am to 12.45 pm on 26th September 2023, at Classroom P-11. The talk will be led by Prof. Christiane Schwieren, Alfred-Weber-Institute for Wirtschaftswissenschaften.

The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Arnab Mukherji, Chairperson, Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) and faculty of the Public Policy area of IIM Bangalore. 

About the speaker: Dr. Christiane Schwieren is a Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Alfred-Weber-Institute for Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Her current research focuses on two broad areas: decision making and self-regulation under stress and/or change and diversity and individual differences in labor market settings. She also works on topics such as public good games, identity, farming, trust and contributions to experimental methods.

She was a visiting researcher at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona from 2013 to 2016. In 1999, she completed her PhD from the Department of General Economics, Maastricht University and her thesis was titled: ‘Discrimination on the labour market – an integration of economic and social psychological factors’. Some of her research papers have been published in top journals like the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Business Economics, etc.
