As part of its aim to get bureaucrats to implement digital transformation projects in their departments and ministries, WITP has been conducting various outreach programmes for senior bureaucrats to motivate and interest them in such projects and training the starting point. As part of this, a series of webinars under the titled “Masterclass Series – Being Future Ready” with Industry experts who have implemented digital transformation projects in the government or large enterprises has been planned. WITP has partnered with CSITM for conducting the webinar series.

The first in the series will be a webinar on the topic “Design & Systems Thinking for Digital Transformation” and has been scheduled for 20th October 2022, Thursday between 10:00 am to 11:00 am IST.

Successful digital transformation requires us to think about ‘the whole-of-government / organization’ - the various factors that impact the key objectives of the transformation. Two tools come in handy in achieving these sometime conflicting objectives. Design thinking is a powerful tool by placing citizens' needs at the center of a product, service, process, or a governing model, to reframe strategic challenges and develop more effective solutions. Drawing on right-brained creativity and left-brained analytics, this design thinking program enables you to broaden your strategic perspective and find novel opportunities for innovation. Systems Thinking on the other hand allows you to look at multiple objectives and model the pushes and pulls of different stakeholders and strive to find small leverage actions can see major digital transformation projects.
