21 OCTOBER, 2021: The Centre for Teaching and Learning’s Samiksha series of webinars invites learners and educators to attend an online discussion on ‘Everything Matters: How Complexity Theory Changes Our View of History and Economics’. This is the fifth webinar in the Samiksha series.  

Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, Principal Economic Advisor to the Government of India, will deliver the lecture.

Shri Sanjeev Sanyal is a Rhodes Scholar and an Eisenhower Fellow, and was named ‘Young Global Leader’ for 2010 by the World Economic Forum. Shri Sanyal has written extensively on economics, environmental conservation and urban issues. He was Deutsche Bank’s Global Strategist and Managing Director till 2015. He is the author of several books including ‘The Indian Renaissance: India’s Rise after a Thousand Years of Decline’.

Born and brought up in Kolkata, Shri Sanyal studied in St James’ and St Xavier’s schools and then received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. He completed his Master’s degree from St John’s College at Oxford University.
