Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell & Office of Disability Services at IIMB to co-host motivational talk by Divyanshu Ganatra on Jan 11

09 January, 2019, Bengaluru: The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (EnI) and the Office of Disability Services (ODS) at IIM Bangalore will co-host a motivational talk session by Divyanshu Ganatra, Clinical Psychologist, Researcher, Behavioral Facilitator, and Self-made Serial Entrepreneur, to be held on January 11 (Friday), 2019, from 03.00 pm to 04.30 pm, at N001.

Divyanshu Ganatra is a corporate facilitator and adventure enthusiast. After losing his eyesight to glaucoma at the age of nineteen, Divyanshu got an earful of free advice. In the years that followed, he went on to pave his own path, raking up an impressive list of firsts: India’s first blind solo pilot; first blind tandem cyclist to complete the 500+ kilometre ride from Manali to Khardung La, to being the first blind student to pursue college-level Psychology at the University of Pune. After being close to death and told that he will never climb again, he has scaled some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas. Divyanshu’s most recent achievement has been to successfully complete an expedition to Mt. Kilimanjaro.

A regular at various stages and speaking commitments around the world, Divyanshu challenges his audience to push their boundaries, challenge themselves, and think beyond. Apart from changing lives through interactions and public speaking commitments, Divyanshu has founded and runs two organizations full time. At Yellow Brick Road, he dons the hat of a behavioral facilitator, enabling programs on Emotional Intelligence and Achievement Motivation. It was this love for adrenaline that led to the Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation, a non-profit that promotes inclusivity through adventure sports for people with and without disability.

Praising Divyanshu’s gift as a speaker, facilitator, and adventurer, Professor Rajluxmi V Murthy, Chair, Committee on Diversity and Inclusion and faculty in the Decision Sciences area of IIMB, said, “Being in conversation with Divyanshu can be a journey to self-discovery and growth”.
