In the eighth episode of the IIMB Podcast Series on October 25th, Prof. Suresh Bhagavatula, from the Entrepreneurship area, shares his insights on starting up in a virtual world because of the changes induced by the pandemic for workforce and collaboration

23 OCTOBER, 2020:  The eighth episode of the IIMB Podcast series will feature a conversation with Prof. Suresh Bhagavatula, Professor in the Entrepreneurship Area at IIM Bangalore, on October 25th

The podcast focuses on the new rules of starting up in the virtual world connected over video conferencing platforms. Prof. Bhagavatula brings his insights from his work on entrepreneurial networks to educate on how collaboration, serendipitous encounters, and other startup characteristics stand changed in this COVID world. The podcast revolves around questions on various legs of starting up, such as finding problems to solve, ideation, team building, hiring and raising funds, and how they stand impacted because of the changes induced by COVID-19. The podcast also looks at various examples of startups who have managed this navigation well and other stories of entrepreneurs who started during the COVID period to look at failures because of the virtual mode of working.

The Communications Office and the Student Media Cell of IIM Bangalore launched the IIMB Podcast Series on July 12th, 2020. The Podcast series aims to become a platform to discuss the latest business, economic, management, and social issues that matter. The Podcast series, which will run twice a month – on the second and fourth Sunday – will witness IIM Bangalore fraternity, including but not limited to the faculty members, alumni and students, provide their insights and perspectives on the topics and issues that surround us.
