IIMB welcomes Mr Jaideep Sarkar

Jaideep Sarkar

01 AUGUST 2023: Mr. Jaideep Sarkar joined the Institute as Professor of Practice in the Entrepreneurship Area on 27th July 2023. He holds a PGDM from IIM Calcutta and B.Tech (Hon) from IIT Kharagpur.

Mr. Sarkar joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1987. During his 36 years in service, Mr. Sarkar has had a distinguished career as a diplomat. His significant postings include Ambassador of India to Israel and Bhutan and High Commissioner of India to South Africa. His other major engagements with the government include tenures in the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and various Indian missions abroad.

Mr. Sarkar’s interests are in cross-cultural perspectives on innovation, emerging markets, country studies on Japan and Israel, and innovations in public policy.

Mr. Sarkar has been named Chairperson of the Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) and the Israel Centre at IIM Bangalore
