Dr. Sayar Karmakar, University of Florida, will address the students at IIMB on ‘Simultaneous inference for curve estimation in time-varying models’ in a research seminar hosted by the Office of Research & Publication (R&P) on July 12. Dr. Karmakar works as an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Florida, US. His thesis is focused on nonlinear and multiple time series with an emphasis on simultaneous inference. His interests include econometrics, spatial statistics, changepoint problems, the study of time-varying or dynamic systems.
