The Editor in Chief of JAMS, will offer 10 suggestions for better papers

13 SEPTEMBER, 2021: Prof. John Hulland, Emily H. and Charles M. Tanner Jr., Chair in Sales Management Terry College of Business, University of Georgia, USA, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS) will address IIMB students on September 28, 2021 between 7.30 pm and 8.30 PM (IST).

Prof. John Hulland will share his perspective on publishing in top journals based on his experience as author, reviewer, Assistant Editor and Editor-in-Chief. He will combine a discussion of common problems that authors encounter when they prepare/submit manuscripts with an overview of JAMS as an outlet for top academic work. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in brand management, marketing planning and strategy, statistical research methods, among others.

As a scholar, his research is anchored in marketing strategy, and he’s had more than 20 articles published in premier journals. Among his interests, he’s co-authored research on social interactions – particularly in online communities – and how they influence consumer behaviours, the marketing-finance interface, and marketing resource management. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and has also served in editorial roles for the Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Marketing and Journal of International Business Studies.
