Across the globe, inequality is on the rise, and climate change is further contributing to this divide. The countries of the Global South have an opportunity to innovate on a development trajectory that is inclusive of its people and the planet. The people and institutions representing the Global South are going to be critical to this transition.

The two-day learning event at IIMB will bring together champions of the sustainable energy access ecosystem from across the Global South. The objective is to share learnings on how sustainable energy can be used to create a new trajectory of development which responds to two greatest challenges of the Global South – poverty alleviation and climate change. The participants will represent practitioners across the ecosystem (from civil society, enterprises, philanthropies and policy makers). The sessions will focus on building on the five critical elements of the ecosystem – technology, finance, skills, linkages and policy, across the critical themes of livelihood and health.
