Centre for Management Communication and CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development to jointly host a speaker event on 22nd June

The talk titled ‘ESG & Business Strategy: Reaching New Frontiers with the Triple Bottom Line’ will be led by Shikhar Jain, Deputy Head, CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development and Prof. Deepti Ganapathy, Chairperson, CenComm

20 June, 2023, Bengaluru: The Centre for Management Communication and the Environment and Sustainability Club at IIM Bangalore, in collaboration with CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development, will host a speaker event on 22nd June 2023 at N-101, as part of the World Environment Day activities at IIMB. The talk, titled, ‘ESG & Business Strategy: Reaching New Frontiers with the Triple Bottom Line’, will be led by Shikhar Jain, Deputy Head, CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development at CII-Delhi, and Prof. Deepti Ganapathy, Chairperson, Centre for Management Communication, IIMB.

The event is open to the entire IIMB community, and is relevant to students of all programmes, given the importance of Sustainability in today's businesses.

One of the focus areas of the Centre for Management Communication is Sustainability and Communication. The centre regularly hosts events, webinars and forums for academic and professional dialogue revolving around sustainability and climate change. 

CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development is a not-for-profit, industry-led institution that helps businesses become sustainable organizations. It is on a mission to propagate innovative ideas and solutions in India and globally, to enable businesses and their stakeholders in sustainable value creation. The centre works on various platforms organizing leadership sessions on ESG, virtual roundtables on convergence and standardization of global ESG reporting guidelines, and more. Recently, CII-ITC designed ESG Intelligence and Analytics to equip companies with the necessary information and tools to make strategic decisions.

Shikhar Jain has more than 20 years of experience working with a variety of industries, where he has designed, implemented and integrated Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and social programs/management systems in over 100 individual facilities as well as for corporate-wide operations. Shikhar has developed and implemented best practices for several top Indian firms, including in areas of improved operational efficiency, good EHS practices, and enhanced compliance management.
