10 August, 2023, Bengaluru: The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIM Bangalore will host the launch of the book, ‘Discovery of Japan’, authored by Ichiro Hoshino, on 23rd August 2023 at the IIMB auditorium, from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm. MIJSC has initiated sponsoring of books related with Japan and India.
The author Ichiro Hoshino has been instrumental in building IIMB’s partnership with Mizuho Bank. He has worked in senior leadership positions in various countries, including Europe, South Korea and India. At present, he is heading Family Life Services, Iida Group, in Tokyo.
The book launch will see IIMB faculty, including Deans and Chairpersons, as well as other senior officials, addressing the audience. Prof. D Krishna Sundar, former Chairperson of MIJSC and faculty of the Production & Operations Management area of IIMB, will introduce the author. Ichiro Hoshino will discuss the book and take part in a panel discussion, also featuring Prof. Jaideep Sarkar, Chairperson, Mizuho India Japan Study Centre and the Israel Centre, as well as faculty of the Entrepreneurship area of IIMB. The vote of thanks will be delivered by Saideep Rathnam, Chief Operating Officer, Mizuho India Japan Study Centre, IIMB.
