EPGP Prayaas to host social impact summit ‘Sustainable Synergies – Shaping the Future Together’ on 18th February

Event includes discussions with corporate CSR Heads, NGOs and other experts on navigating CSR challenges, driving community-led solutions and co-creating sustainable solutions 

5 February, 2024, Bengaluru: Prayaas, the social responsibility initiative of the students of IIM Bangalore’s one-year, full-time MBA for working professionals, the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), will host the social impact summit, ‘Sustainable Synergies Shaping the Future Together’, from 9 am to 7.30 pm on 18th February 2024, at the IIM Bangalore Auditorium. 

This landmark event aims to bring together changemakers from various sectors including NGOs, CSR foundations, Government, academia and industry in a bid to foster dialogue, share insights and showcase groundbreaking work in sustainability as well as social impact. Participants of the summit will get an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, connect with like-minded individuals and organizations, and contribute towards shaping a sustainable future together.

The summit will commence with the welcome address to be delivered by Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore. 

The keynote address will be delivered by Padma Bhushan awardee D R Mehta, former Chairman, SEBI, on: ‘Empowering Lives through Sustainable Innovation: The Jaipur Foot Journey. D R Mehta is the Founder and Chief Patron of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), Jaipur. 

The event will also include engaging panel discussions featuring corporate CSR Heads, NGOs and other experts focusing on navigating CSR challenges, driving community-led solutions and co-creating sustainable solutions. 

The pitch fest titled, ‘Future Forward: Pitching for a Sustainable World’ will see innovators presenting sustainable solutions. 

The Awards & Recognition session will celebrate outstanding contributions to sustainability and social impact. 

The event will conclude with an address by Prof. Ashok Thampy, Chairperson, Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management, and faculty of the Finance & Accounting area of IIM Bangalore

In another initiative, Prayaas, jointly with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot), will conduct a free prosthetic limb camp from 9 am on 18th February 2024. The event is organized for the first 50 registered candidates. The event is intended for people who cannot afford a prosthetic limb. The cost of the prosthetics will be completely borne by Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot).
