IIMB hosts book talk by Chinmay Tumbe on July 20

19 July, 2018: Alumnus of IIMB’s Fellow Programme in Management and currently faculty in the Economics and Social Sciences area at IIMA, Tumbe will discuss chapters from his new book, ‘India Moving: A History of Migration’, with Prof. Deepak Malghan, faculty from the Centre for Public Policy, and Prof. Rupa Chanda, RBI Chair Professor in Economics, at 6:30 pm on Friday (July 20) in Classroom C-13.

He is the 2018 Alfred D. Chandler Jr International Visiting Scholar in Business History at Harvard Business School. His areas of interest include migration, cities, firms and history and ‘India Moving’ is his first book. An alum of the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), Tumbe has also been a faculty member at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad, and was the 2013 Jean Monnet Fellow at the Migration Policy Centre, European University Institute, Florence, Italy. He has published widely on migration for a decade and has served on policymaking groups.
