21 December, 2018, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled, ‘Reducing Waste by Learning from Environmental Inspections: Empirical Evidence from Unconventional Wells in Pennsylvania’, on December 27 (Thursday), 2018, from 02.30 pm, at Classroom P-11. The talk will be delivered by Professor Suresh Muthulingam, Pennsylvania State University.

Suresh Muthulingam is the Associate Professor of Supply Chain & Information Systems in Pennsylvania State University. He received his PhD (Operations Management) from the UCLA’s Anderson School of Management in 2009, his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 1993, and his B Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 1991. From 2009 to 2014, he was the Assistant Professor at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Before coming to academia, he worked in the industry for 12 years, in various leadership positions at IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Coopers & Lybrand.

His expertise lies in: Environmental Issues in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, and Learning and Forgetting.

His papers have been published in leading journals. He is the Associate Editor of Production and Operations Management and has been on the editorial board of few publications.
