17 April, 2018, Bengaluru: The Supply Chain Management Centre (SCMC) at IIM Bangalore, along with the Supply Chain Practitioners Council (SCPC), will host the Best Practices Exchange Meet on April 20 (Friday), 2018, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, at Classroom N-001, New Classroom Block, IIM Bangalore.

The Best Practices Exchange Meet & Supply Chain Practitioners' Council (SCPC) is a platform to bring together leading supply chain practitioners across industries to share best practices, showcase achievements and seek solutions to problems leveraging one another’s experience.

The meet will provide the opportunity for interaction between executives, students, academicians and researchers in related fields.

Professor Gopal Naik, Dean, Faculty, IIMB and faculty from the Economics & Social Sciences area, will deliver the welcome address.

The keynote address on ‘Challenges and Way Forward in Developing Supply Chain’ will be delivered by T R Parasuraman, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Industries Engine India (TIEI). Renny Chacko, Senior Manager, Manhattan Associates, will take the audience through ‘Warehousing Trends for Efficient Omnichannel Fulfillment’. A Sathiyanarayanan, Chief Manger – SCO, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), will speak on ‘Excellence in Raw Material Procurement Strategy’. A talk on ‘After-Market Warehousing – Best Practices’ will be delivered by S Govindarajan, Business Head – Strategic Account, TVS Logistics Services Limited.

The SCMC is a major area of teaching and research at IIMB. It is a strategic multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence within IIMB dedicated to carrying out specialized theoretical and applied research on Supply Chain Management and to promote closer and enduring industry-institute collaboration. The centre brings together practitioners from leading organizations, researchers from renowned research institutes and IIMB’s multi-disciplinary faculty to carry out specialized theoretical and applied research in Supply Chain Management, and works towards becoming an internationally recognized centre in the field.
