IIMB Management Review & FPM Office present IMR Doctoral Conference 2018

29 December, 2017, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s flagship journal IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) will present the ninth IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC 2018) on January 3 and 4, 2018 (Wednesday & Thursday), at N001, IIMB.

The two-day event will include full paper presentations by doctoral level students, keynote sessions, workshops and invited talks by noted international scholars in management research. Fast track/concurrent sessions with short presentations will also be part of the conference. Papers selected for the conference will be considered for publication in the IIMB Management Review, subject to author approval and after completion of due review processes.

Additionally, IMRDC 2018 has a pre-conference event of presentation of select research by IIMB faculty scheduled on January 2.

Full paper submissions were invited for IMRDC 2018 from doctoral students of management, across areas including Decision Sciences and Information Systems, Economics and Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management, Production and Operations Management, Public Policy, and Strategy. The submissions were reviewed by a Faculty Committee, from which a subset of papers were selected for presentation.

This year, the conference Co-chairs are IIMB Professors Debarati Basu (Finance & Accounting area), Souvik Dutta (Economics & Social Sciences area), and Prithwiraj Mukherjee (Marketing area).

IMRDC 2018 is aimed at doctoral students and faculty of management institutes/departments, as well as researchers and practitioners in affiliated fields. The objective of the conference is to encourage doctoral research and facilitate collaborative work among researchers from different institutions. It also seeks to provide a forum where insightful feedback from senior researchers and academicians can help improve the quality and rigour of student research. The IMR Doctoral Conference is a benchmark event in India's doctoral community, commended by participants for the thorough and constructive feedback provided through its ‘one exclusive discussant per paper’ format.
