01 April, 2017: IIM Bangalore will host the inauguration of Batch 2017 of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management on April 08 (Saturday) at 9:30 am in the auditorium.
IIMB Director Prof. G. Raghuram and PGPEM Chairperson Prof. Seema Gupta will light the lamp with the chief guest, Ramya TV, Assistant Professor, Strategic Management, IIM Calcutta.
Ramya is an alumna of IIM Bangalore’s Fellow Programme. Beginning her career in 1997 as a software engineer in Wipro Global R&D, she has more than a decade of work experience in various technical and managerial roles in the IT industry at Wirpo, Cisco India and Sasken Technologies Ltd. Her doctoral thesis focused on the influence of national culture in international business. She teaches courses on Strategic Management, Strategy Execution and Strategic Decision Making in International Business at IIM Calcutta, and is also the Group Coordinator for the Strategic Management Group.
Her keynote address will be followed by a session on Gender Sensitivity. Prof. Rejie George Pallathitta, faculty at IIMB, will deliver a short address on ‘Ethics at IIMB’. PGPEM Students Affairs Council (SAC) Secretary Ashish Vanarse will give the incoming batch an overview of life as a PGPEM participant. The post lunch session will have a talk on usage of library resources by Dr. Rama Patnaik, Chief Librarian, IIMB. Later in the afternoon, there will be a discussion on how to read and analyze cases. Prof. Ganesh Prabhu, faculty, IIMB, will lead the discussion.
