IIMB hosts inter-IIM annual sports event Sangram 2016 from November 18 to 20

‘The Time is Here, The Time is Now’ – the familiar line just got a lot more serious. As we turn the leaf and the calendar highlights the 18th of November, it is time for Sangram, the annual event that gives sportspersons a platform to excel. Sangram is an inter-IIM meet between Bangalore, Kozhikode, Trichy, and now Visakhapatnam. Teams compete in cricket, football, volleyball, hockey, basketball, badminton, throw ball, kho-kho and swimming. IIMB was the overall winner of Sangram 2015. The visiting as well as IIMB teams will battle it out on the campus of the ‘Place to B’ for Sangram 2016.

This is the first time that the tournament will have contestants from four teams as they vie for glory across 20 events over the weekend (18th to 20th November). What’s more? The combined contingent of the visiting IIMs stands at 350 making it the biggest ever in the history of Sangram. Not to be outdone, the hosts stand ready with a contingent of over 200 ready for the fight. Now that the preparation is done, all teams are rearing to go and it promises to be an unparalleled exhibition of talent, grit and determination. Will IIM Bangalore continue its reign, or will the visitors manage to pack a harder punch? As the story unfolds, there is one thing that is a certainty - the battle is going to be thrilling till the finish. See you at Sangram 2016 - Play Fierce!
