Good stories deliver a competitive edge because it is easier to attract an audience – whether they are customers, advertisers, employees, partners or investors. Story is a sense-making device. It is also a powerful tool for organizing information. It is the ultimate competitive advantage because storytelling helps customers understand the benefit of using products, ideas or services. It is a pity to come across a startup failing to do a good job of storytelling, particularly when their product is interesting. This is a challenge many startups face. Entrepreneurs may be good developers and visionaries, but may not always have the skills and insight to create compelling stories. The issues in this context are: the importance of storytelling for an entrepreneur, kinds of stories that could be crafted, how to assess if a story is on the right track, when to tell a story and what story to tell. The NSRCEL event aims to address these issues and guide the participants on the art and science of storytelling.

The NSRCEL was envisioned as a world-class centre for excellence in seeding, nurturing and promoting entrepreneurship with emphasis on startups and existing organizations with high growth potential. The objective is, therefore, to help entrepreneurs channelize their energy and talent towards transforming their ideas into successful companies. The NSRCEL does so by guiding them in understanding specific opportunities for business growth and helping them access the resources they require. NSRCEL was chosen as one of the top six Established Incubators in India for scale and efficiency under the Atal Innovation Mission.
