Unmaad’s Box Office Edition at IIM Bangalore from Jan 31st to Feb 2nd

20 January, 2020: The students of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will host their annual cultural fest, Unmaad 2020, from 31st January to 2nd February. The countdown started with the reveal of ‘Unmaad Wall’ and the first pre-fest event, Road to Unmaad, a treasure hunt in the city held on 5th January.  

Unmaad’20, called ‘Box Office Edition’, is the 22nd edition of the fest and will have singer and composer Amit Trivedi perform live on 2nd February. The three-day event has on offer live performances, fun competitions such as Footloose (freestyle dance), Haute Couture (fashion design) Mr and Ms Unmaad (personality contest), B-school of Rock, and plenty of food stalls. 

Unmaad’20 will also see online events like Trailer Mash, Shortcuts, Honest Plots, and Meme Wars. The World Cultural Fiesta, started from 2017, will have global artistes..

Unmaad was first launched in 1999, when the Secretary of the Students’ Cultural Committee, Amardeep Mallik, along with the members, invited Pentagram, Vishal Dadlani’s band and one of the pioneers of original Indian independent music, to campus. Subsequent editions of Unmaad have seen shows by stars such as Lucky Ali, Kailash Kher,  Sunidhi Chauhan, Farhan Akhtar, Raghu Dixit, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Zakir Khan, KK, Strings, Jethro Tull, Indian Ocean, Salim Sulaiman and Benny Dayal.
