15 January, 2021, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore will host a webinar titled, ‘India’s Trade Agreements’ on January 20 (Wednesday), 2021, from 07.00 pm to 08.00 pm. The webinar will be led by Professor Pravin Krishna of the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University.

The talk will focus on outcomes under India’s free trade agreements and on the future of Indian trade policy. Emphasis will be placed on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, from which India has recently withdrawn.

About the Speaker: Professor Pravin Krishna is the Chung Ju Yung Distinguished Professor of International Economics and Business at Johns Hopkins University, where he is jointly appointed in the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and the Department of Economics. He is also Co-chair of the Bernard L. Schwartz Globalization Initiative at Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Professor Krishna has previously been Professor of Economics at Brown University and has also held appointments at other universities, including the University of Chicago, Columbia University, Princeton University, Stanford University and INSEAD.
