ICICI Prudential CEO NS Kannan to deliver the special lecture; Distinguished Alumni Awards for Apurva Purohit, Vipul Parekh, Saugata Gupta and Raghavendra Rau

09 JUNE, 2022: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore will welcome students to the Doctoral programme, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGP-BA), on June 13th 2022.

ICICI Prudential CEO NS Kannan, who is an alumnus of PGP 1991 at IIMB and a gold medal recipient for best all-round performance when he was a student of the institute, will deliver the special lecture.

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIMB, the Deans of IIMB, a section of the faculty members and programme officers will welcome students to campus.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the felicitation of the Distinguished Alumni of 2022 with awards.

Instituted in 2007, the Distinguished Alumni Awards are given to alumni in recognition of their achievements of exceptional merit and excellence in their chosen field of endeavours – be it industry, management, entrepreneurship, research, academia, or social service. Each awardee receives a citation and his/her name is engraved on the IIMB Wall of Fame. 

We have four alums who are the recipients of the DAA this year: Vipul Parekh (PGP 1988) who is Co-Founder of bigbasket.com; Raghavendra Rau (PGP 1989) who is Professor of Finance at the University of Cambridge; Apurva Purohit (PGP 1989) who is Co-Founder, Aazol; and Saugata Gupta (PGP 1991) who is Managing Director and CEO, Marico Limited.
