WiDS 2021 goes virtual on April 17

Hosted by IIM Bangalore’s Data Centre & Analytics Lab, WiDS will showcase those doing extraordinary work in the data science domain 

02 MARCH, 2021: The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field.  WiDS is a Stanford University initiative that includes a global conference, with approximately 150+ regional events worldwide; a datathon, encouraging participants to hone their skills using a social impact challenge; and a podcast, featuring leaders in the field talking about their work, their journeys, and lessons learned. ​ 

IIMB is hosting the 3rd annual WiDS conference, from 8:30 am to 4 pm, on April 17th, featuring accomplished women data scientists and luminaries in this field. Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Chairperson, Data Centre & Analytics Lab at IIMB and Professor in the Decision Sciences area, Binu Midhun, Gayatri Pal, Harini Thammaiah and Srujana Kaddevarmuth are the WiDS ambassadors coordinating this conference. The conference showcases technical speakers from diversified organizations and labs doing extraordinary work in the data science domain like IBM Research Labs, Google, Walmart Labs, LinkedIn, PayPal, Yodlee among others. Conference is inclusive to all the genders and we invite the data science enthusiasts in the field to join us in this exciting journey to engage, learn and grow. Over 200 participants across analytics domain from industry and academia are expected to participate.
