Ms. Padmaja Chunduru, a postgraduate in Commerce with a specialization in Banking & Finance from Andhra University and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), brings over 37 years of experience in banking and financial services across India and the USA. She served as Managing Director & CEO of the National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL) from October 2021 to August 2024, following her tenure as Managing Director & CEO of Indian Bank. Prior to that, she held key leadership roles at the State Bank of India, including Deputy Managing Director (Digital Banking) and Country Head of US Operations in New York.

Beyond her executive roles, Ms. Chunduru has contributed significantly to India’s financial ecosystem through board positions at institutions such as the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Universal Sompo General Insurance Company, Indian Banks’ Association, and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. Her deep expertise in banking, digital transformation, and financial governance continues to make her a respected leader and influencer in the financial services sector.
