Soumitra Bhattacharya’s distinguished career, spanning over 40 years, reflects a legacy of leadership, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he spent over 28 years with the Bosch Group, where he held pivotal roles across India, Germany, and Turkey culminating in his tenure as Managing Director of Bosch Ltd. and Regional President of the Bosch Group in India until 2023. His leadership in Turkey earned Bosch the EFQM Award in 2008, underscoring his impact on global business excellence.

Following his retirement, Soumitra became CEO and Director of the Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM), focusing on advancing Quality, Excellence, and Innovation across industries. He continues to contribute as Chairman of Bosch Ltd. (Non-Executive) and as Director on the boards of Asian Paints, Tata Elxsi, and the Tata Indian Institute of Skills. A long-time contributor to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he has chaired several national committees and currently leads the CII Institute of Quality Advisory Council (2024–25). Soumitra is also a sought-after speaker on Quality, Business Excellence, and Strategy, sharing insights across global forums.
