Call for Submissions
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s flagship journal IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of the Fellow Programme in Management are organising the ninth IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC 2018) on January 3 and 4, 2018, at IIM Bangalore.
Our objective is to encourage doctoral research and facilitate collaborative work among researchers from different institutions. We aim to provide a forum where insightful feedback from senior researchers and academicians can help improve the quality and rigour of student research. The IMR Doctoral Conference is a benchmark event in India's doctoral community, commended by participants for the thorough and constructive feedback provided through its ‘one exclusive discussant per paper’ format.
We invite full paper submissions from doctoral students in Management, across areas including Decision Sciences and Information Systems, Economics and Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources Management, Production and Operations Management, Public Policy, and Strategy.
The submissions will be reviewed by a Faculty Committee, from which a subset of papers will be selected for presentation. Presenters of accepted papers will be provided accommodation and domestic economy airfare. Fast track/Concurrent sessions with short presentations will also be included in the conference. Papers selected for the conference will be considered for publication in the IIMB Management Review, subject to author approval and after completion of due review processes.

Eligibility
- The conference is open to doctoral students who have commenced research on their thesis.
- Only one paper per student is allowed; while co-authorship with faculty is permitted, the paper must be presented by the doctoral student at the conference.
- The paper should not have been published, or accepted for publication, in any academic journal.
Submission Guidelines
- Full papers should be submitted through the online portal https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=imrdc2018 Only full paper submissions will be considered.
- Format
- Cover page: The paper should be accompanied by a cover page containing the title of the paper and author details (name, affiliation, postal address, phone and fax numbers, and email address). Details of the authors’ name and affiliation should not appear anywhere else in the manuscript. In case of multiple authors, the order of placing author names should be specified and the cover page should indicate the designated corresponding author. Please Note: The cover page should be submitted separately from the main article.
- Body of the article: The full paper (without author identifiers) containing the title, an extended abstract of 200 words, keywords (a maximum of 8 keywords), inclusive of tables, figures and appendices, should be submitted in a single Word document. The full text of the paper can be uploaded directly. This document should not contain author names and details. Please Note: Word doc is the only acceptable format.
- The length of the full paper should not exceed 10,000 words (inclusive of the 200 word abstract, tables, figures and appendices).
- References should be in APA style (The following link can be used for guidelines - http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/apa/).
- The full paper must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 point font with 1” margin on all sides.
- The full paper submissions will be put through an originality/plagiarism check.
3. Authors must also submit a nomination letter from the concerned advisor/guide/faculty-member. The letter should comment on the quality of the paper and its contribution to the student’s research agenda, especially for students not at an advanced stage of their research. The nomination letter should contain the signature and affiliation details of the advisor, along with the official seal. A scanned copy of the nomination letter should be submitted as an email attachment to the IMRDC Secretariat at imrc@iimb.ac.in
