South Asian edition of Prof. Deepti Ganapathy’s book: ‘Media and Climate Change: Making Sense of Press Narratives’ is slated for release on June 16

03 June , 2022, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore will host the South Asian edition release of the book titled, ‘Media and Climate Change: Making Sense of Press Narratives’, authored by Professor Deepti Ganapathy, Chairperson, Centre for Management Communication at IIM Bangalore, on June 16 (Thursday), 2022, at 05.00 pm.

The book looks at the media’s coverage of climate change and investigates its role in representing the complex realities of climate uncertainties and its effects on communities and the environment.

Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIMB, and Prof. Chetan Subramanian, Dean, Faculty will participate in the book release and panel discussion. 

Ricky Kej, two-time Grammy Award winner, UNCCD Land Ambassador, UNESCO MGIEP Global Ambassador for Kindness, UNICEF Celebrity Supporter and Earth Day Network Ambassador, who recently performed at the Concert for Peace and the Planet in Stockholm, Sweden to celebrate 50 years of global environmental action, will be the guest at the event. Ricky Kej has also commented on the book’s relevance, which is printed in the foreword of the book.
