EPGP 2010 alumnus Mukesh Sharma will conduct the session
20 April, 2018, Bengaluru: The Alumni Association of IIM Bangalore will conduct a webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence: Impact on Industries’, on April 21 (Saturday), 2018, from 07.30 pm onwards.
The webinar will be led by Mukesh Sharma, who is an alumnus of IIMB’s EPGP 2010 batch (Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management). At present, Mukesh is Country Head, Tech Mahindra, Greater China.
The webinar will focus on: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and it impact, AI for everyone – key use cases impacting industries, AI – myths and realities, and embracing AI – the way forward.
About the speaker: Mukesh has been the Member Board of Director and Head of Tech Mahindra’s IT and Engineering business in the Greater China and Japan region for the past eight years. Prior to this, he had served as Head of Vehicle Development in Maruti Suzuki for 11 years. He is a proven senior executive with 20 years of professional experience marked by a trend of progressive positions of management responsibility in business development, sales and marketing in the IT industry covering domains such as Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, Telecom and Healthcare.
An entrepreneur by nature, Mukesh has built a successful track record of consistent value creation over the years for end customers across all the businesses for which he has been responsible. He has led the turnaround of Tech Mahindra in the Greater China and Japan region with a ‘leading from the front’ attitude. He built powerful sales engine and sales strategies to compete in the market. He led sales and complete overseeing of the operations with strategic long range planning and driving the bottom line and top line of Tech Mahindra in the region.
Mukesh is recognized as one of China's top transformation leaders of Indian origin in the fields of business development, sales and customer relationship management.
Mukesh is a frequent public speaker and serves on the Board of India Association, AI & Big Data forums, CIO alliances, TEDx, and has represented the Indian automotive industry in the United Nations. He has strong business relations with Chinese and Indian government bodies.
He is driving the digitalization strategy by focusing on Connected Car, Connected Factories and Artificial Intelligence led growth for clients. He was instrumental in forging alliance with Chinese partners and launching the Shanghai AI lab in 2017, a first-of-its-kind in China by foreign IT service providers and incubating Computer Vision, NLP, AR/VR, IoT and deep learning start-ups, to accelerate business impact for clients.
Mukesh holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Delhi College of Engineering and did his Executive MBA from IIM Bangalore.
