Sessions to be held in hybrid format; registration formalities to be conducted by the Admissions and PGPPM Office on 29th September
18 September, 2023, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore will host the inauguration and orientation of the 20th batch of the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) on 3rd October 2023. The sessions will be held in a hybrid format.
On 29th September 2023, the registration formalities will be conducted by the Admissions and PGPPM Office, followed by a programme briefing by the PGPPM Office and a briefing by the Computer Centre staff. These sessions will be held online, at Q-101.
The inauguration of the PGPPM batch of 2023-24, to be held on 3rd October 2023, will feature the inaugural address by Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore; a special address by Prof. Rupa Chanda, Director, Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and the vote of thanks and address by Prof. Arnab Mukherji, Chairperson, Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management and faculty of the Public Policy area of IIMB.
The orientation sessions to be held later on the same day will include addresses by Prof. Sourav Mukherji, Dean, Alumni Relations & Development and faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area, on: ‘Learning and Teaching via the Case Method’ and by Dr. Gopal Naik, Chairperson, Centre for Public Policy on: ‘Public Policy’. Usha Ganesan, Manager, MOOCs - IIMBx and the team will offer an overview on MOOCs at IIMB and Dr. Rama Patnaik, Librarian, will discuss Library and Services. A discussion on ‘Comprehensive Policy Paper’ and the winding-up of orientation will be led by Prof. Arnab Mukherji.
