Ms. Namrata Kala, Faculty, MIT Management Sloan School, shall speak on ‘Workhorses or White Elephants? The Effects of Earned Autonomy on State Owned Enterprises’ in the upcoming research seminar to be held on 24th June at IIMB. She will present her views on how State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) comprise a significant proportion of economic activity in many countries, and typically trade-off profitability with political objectives such as employment generation. Her research estimates the impact of an earned autonomy program in India on SOE performance.
