JETRO Partnership

J-Star X India Program: On February 14, 2024, MIJSC welcomed a team of Japanese entrepreneurs from JETRO for an immersive learning session. During this visit, three Indian startups shared insights on their journey from incubation to scaling, providing practical perspectives on the Indian startup ecosystem.

Collaboration with METI

Representatives from the ASEAN-Japan Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC) and METI visited MIJSC on March 15, 2024, to explore potential projects for collaboration. Productive discussions highlighted opportunities for funding through Japan’s VLCI Program, laying the groundwork for future joint initiatives.

Hiroshima Industrial Promotion Organization (HIPO) Delegation Visits IIMB

On 17 December 2025, the Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) hosted a delegation from the Hiroshima Industrial Promotion Organization (HIPO) as part of ongoing efforts to deepen India–Japan industry and institutional engagement. HIPO plays a key role in fostering regional industrial development in Hiroshima by supporting local enterprises, enabling international partnerships—including with institutions in India—and promoting economic growth across sectors such as automobiles, shipbuilding, steel, manufacturing, and environmental technologies. As part of the interaction, Dr. Saideep Rathnam delivered a session tracing the evolution of management and technical education in India since Independence, alongside an overview of India’s contemporary entrepreneurship ecosystem, highlighting its scale, diversity, and institutional support structures. The visiting delegation comprised representatives from a wide range of industries, in cluding manufacturing, healthcare, software, finance, wholesale trade, and public insti tutions, reflecting Hiroshima’s diverse industrial base.
